2 Weekend Workshop
Saturday 2nd March 2019 9.30am – 5pm Saturday Evening Zikr Session 7.30 – 9pm Sunday 3rd March 10am – 2.30pm
We will explore dimensions of two profound and fundamental questions of the spiritual quest: What is the truth of my real being, my higher Self? How can I make this truth a reality in the midst of the challenging circumstances of my life?
Working together with practices of sacred sound, breath, meditation, sacred dance and walks, and sohbet (spiritual conversation), we will seek to awaken to more authentic dimensions of our Self and to understand how we can express this awakening more fully and joyfully in our lives.
The Zikr Session is a free public event and does not require registration. Let us know if you want to join us for dinner beforehand – $10
The Presenters: Batina and Wahhab Sheets are cherags (ministers) of the Universal Worship, spiritual retreat guides, and senior teachers in the Inayati Order, a Sufi Path of Spiritual Liberty. They studied with renowned Sufi teacher Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan for 30 years and have served (and continue to serve) in many local, national, and international roles in the Inayati Order. Now retired from careers in child protective services and consulting, they live in Austin, Texas, where they serve as leaders in the local Sufi centre, guide retreats, and enjoy spending time with family.
